Frequently Asked Questions
A few things you may be wondering about membership and getting started.
-
Direct primary care is a membership-based model of primary care that allows me to work directly with my patients, without billing insurance for office visits. Your membership supports an ongoing relationship with your physician, with more time, accessibility, and personalized care.
-
Not exactly. Traditional concierge practices typically charge a membership fee in addition to billing insurance. My practice operates through a direct membership model, without billing insurance for visits.

Integrative and functional medicine take a whole-person approach to health, combining conventional medical care with evidence-informed approaches to better understand and address the factors that influence health and well-being.
I am double board-certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine, having completed advanced fellowship in Integrative Medicine. I have also completed additional functional medicine training through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).
In my practice, I bring these approaches together seamlessly. My care is grounded in conventional medical training and evidence-based medicine, while incorporating additional tools and perspectives from integrative and functional medicine when appropriate. This may include a deeper look at nutrition, sleep, stress, hormones, gut health, lifestyle, and other factors that contribute to health.
The goal isn't to replace conventional medicine, but to expand how we approach it: looking beyond individual symptoms to understand the bigger picture and develop thoughtful, individualized care plans that support your health over time.
-
No, my practice does not accept health insurance. I do not bill health insurance for visits or membership fees.
I strongly recommend maintaining health insurance. Your membership does not replace insurance for medication costs, laboratory fees, radiology fees, specialist visits, emergency care, hospitalizations, or surgeries.
-
I am not currently able to accept patients who are enrolled in Medicare coverage. If you have Medicare, please reach out before registering so we can discuss your options.

Membership isn't about having an appointment every month. It's about having an ongoing relationship with a physician who knows you, your health history, and your goals.
Some months you may need more support than others. Your membership provides continuity, accessibility, preventive care, and support over time, rather than paying for individual appointments as needs arise.

Adults of all genders are welcome in my practice! Family members, partners, and spouses are welcome to enroll as individual members. While much of my clinical focus is on women's health, I provide primary care to adults of all genders. At this time, I do not see pediatric patients.
